Kids Candle Making and Textured Art Workshop

The first half of the class will begin with learning the basics of how to make their very own soy wax candles. This relaxed, fun, hands on workshop is designed for kids who love candles and fragrances. It's all about smelling a range of fragrances and making their very own custom fragranced candles in tins to take home.

Candle Making, what's included:

• First 90 minutes will be fun smelling fragrances and creating your very own fragrance blends to go into your candles

• All the materials needed to make your candles

• 100% soy wax, cotton wick, Australian premium fragrance oil

• You will get to make

• x3 small soy wax candles in tins (burn time ~13hrs)

After the candle making the kids will have a break where we will provide them a cupcake from Baked By Us. 

The second half of the workshop is all about letting your child explore their creativity in a fun hands-on textured art workshop. Using plaster and paint, they'll create a beautiful textured floral artwork.

Textured Art, what's included:

• 90 minutes of fun smelling fragrance oils and creating your very own fragrance blends to go into your candles

• All the materials needed to make your textured artwork

• canvas, paint, plaster, paint brushes, palette knives

• You will get to make

• textured artwork on canvas 20cm x 25cm

The textured art workshop will be run by local creative arts therapist Jess Michelle from Jess Michelle Creatives.

What you need to bring for the 3hr workshop:

• A sense of curiosity and creativity

• Comfortable clothes and shoes

• Additional snack if you think they may get hungry

Age Suitability:

• This class is suitable for ages 10 to 16

• Children must be capable of following instructions and mixing ingredients together, otherwise they will need to be accompanied by an adult (at no extra charge)

• Children younger than 10 can attend if the parent feels they are capable, but they will need to be accompanied by an adult (at no extra charge)

Important things to note:

• Soy wax candles will be ready to take home at the end of the workshop as will the textured artwork.

• Parents do not have to be present while the class is running but you are also welcome to stay on the premises if you feel your child will need you.

• Cupcakes will be catered from Baked By Us, so you will need to advise us of whether your child prefers a vanilla base or chocolate cake base, plus any allergies.

• If you need to cancel for any reason a 50% refund is available with 7 days' notice. Within 7 days until the event, there is no refund for cancellation.

• Workshop requires a minimum of x6 attendee for the class to run. If there is less than x6, you will be notified for a refund, credit or change of date or time.
